Description
Althea is a vegan blend with a natural texture, a soft sheen, and a fresh, quietly rustic feel. Similar in character to linen, it starts with a crisp hand and gradually softens through knitting, washing and wear. After blocking, the fabric relaxes beautifully into a smooth and natural surface, with both lightness and structure. A lovely choice for long-lasting summer pieces, from tanks and tees to cardigans and everyday tops.

Care
Hand-dyed yarns, especially in deeper tones, may release a small amount of excess dye during the first wash. Gently hand wash in cold water using a mild wool detergent, and lay flat to dry. Avoid soaking for long periods. For stronger colors, a pre-wash before combining with lighter yarns is recommended to minimize any potential dye release. Adding a little vinegar to the rinse water can also help maintain color balance.
We recommend buying enough yarn for your project at once to ensure consistent color, as shades may vary between dye lots.
