Leftover｜Fofo Platter

The idea of leftover comes naturally from the hand-dyed process itself.

During dyeing, many colour experiments take place, and with them come unexpected and beautiful surprises. Although some of these colours were not selected for regular collections, they are still quietly special in their own way.

In the earlier stages of my hand-dyed practice, I dyed many yarns while learning and exploring. While these works may not be as refined as my current collections, many of the colours remain beautiful and worth revisiting.

Rather than leaving them behind, I gathered these past pieces together and composed them into what I call a Leftover Platter.

Fofo Platter includes:

• 1 mini skein of Fofo 

• 3 mini skeins from my previous hand-dyed works

Each mini skein weighs approximately 20–25 g.

Every platter is unique and cannot be repeated.

The previous works may include the following bases:

• Brushed Alpaca (98% brushed alpaca, 2% nylon)

• Mohair (fibre content unknown)

• Silky Mohair (60% kid mohair, 40% silk)

• Silky Bouclé (77% baby alpaca, 23% silk bouclé)

• Silky Alpaca (65% baby suri alpaca, 35% silk)

• Wool Bouclé (100% wool)
